Case Study
Prime Reason unified its HR systems and automated the operations that previously required manual coordination.
Prime Reason is a South African talent management and HR services company. Like many growing organisations, it had accumulated a landscape of disconnected systems each holding a piece of the data the business needed to run. i-Con brought those systems together.
The Challenge
Multiple systems. Multiple sources of truth. No integration between them.
As Prime Reason grew, it built out a system landscape that mirrored the complexity of its operations: separate platforms for employee records, payroll, business data, and operational workflows. Each system worked in isolation. Getting a complete, consistent view of any employee or process required pulling data from multiple places manually, by people who knew which system held what.
The operational risk was real. When data was updated in one system, the change did not flow automatically to others. Reconciliation was a recurring manual task. Database visibility was limited. And as the business scaled, the complexity of managing disconnected systems scaled with it.
Prime Reason needed a way to connect its existing systems without replacing any of them and to automate the data flows that were currently relying on manual coordination.
The Solution
i-Con: a single integration layer across every system in the business.
Prosol deployed i-Con as Prime Reason's integration platform connecting employee data, payroll records, business records, and operational workflows into a managed data exchange layer. Rather than replacing any existing system, i-Con sat between them: translating data formats, orchestrating flows, and automating the exchanges that previously required manual intervention.
Routine processes that had required human coordination data entry into multiple systems, reconciliation tasks, notification workflows were automated through i-Con's workflow engine. SMS notification management and data capture processes were brought under the same integration umbrella.
The result was a business with a single, coherent view of its operational data and a set of processes that ran without manual intervention freeing the team to focus on outcomes rather than administration.
Outcomes
What Prime Reason achieved.
Full cross-system integration
Employee data, payroll, and business records connected across all platforms through a single integration layer.
Routine processes automated
Manual coordination tasks replaced by automated workflows data flows between systems without human intervention.
Enhanced database visibility
A complete, consistent view of operational data available from a single point eliminating the patchwork of manual lookups.
Improved data control and risk management
Better data governance and reduced risk from inconsistent, manually-maintained system records.
“Using i-Con allows us to integrate across different systems to build simple solutions that would usually be complex.”
